As a Sous Chef at Sodexo at St. Omer Barracks, Thornhill Road, Aldershot, your culinary expertise and organisational excellence will lead an entire food and beverage production. What you’ll do:
Lead the kitchen in the absence of your senior colleagues and provide support for the production team.
Direct the preparation and duties to the commis chefs, chef de parties, and other kitchen staff.
Assisting/sharing in ordering, prep, stock control, running service, and clean-up.
Ensuring strict adherence to all EHO guidelines and systems
Maximise the use of existing stocks where necessary.
Working with the FOH team to drive service excellence
Work on the range with the kitchen team to train, guide, and develop
Monitor sanitation practices to ensure that employees follow standards and regulations.
Prepare, produce, and present food to the highest standard.
What you bring:
NVQ Level 2/3 or experience working in a busy kitchen environment
Basic IT skills, with Microsoft Packages experience
Experience in menu planning and production
Exposure to bulk cooking
The enthusiasm to develop and learn new skills.
A positive and approachable manner
