The Position
This position is within the Conference and Events Sales Team at The Kia Oval and reports directly to the Sales Manager. The main objective of this role is to sell events at the Kia Oval, growing the Conference and Events revenue stream.
What you'll do
1. Be an integral team member helping the team to achieve an annual budget.
2. Responsible for developing new and existing business both proactively and reactively for the Conference and Event Sales Team.
3. Achieve agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) by selling the facilities and product offerings while aiming to meet and exceed customer expectations.
4. Process enquiries & proposals, providing best value options to customers while maximising sales opportunities, within agreed response times to all web-based, email and phone enquiries accurately and within brand guidelines.
5. Follow-up on enquiries & proposals within agreed timescales and customer preferred method, arrange customer site inspections where applicable to close sale.
6. Provide direct liaison with customer and suppliers ensuring clear communications of each party’s needs and expectations.
7. Always maintain excellent product knowledge.
8. Record accurately all customer profiles, enquiries and booking information making full use of the appropriate systems.
9. Contribute ideas for the Sales and Marketing plan / be aware of competitor activities & industry trends.
10. Ensure all sales administration is completed efficiently and accurately in order to provide a seamless handover to the coordination team.
11. Be an active team member and embrace the Club values.
The Person
The successful candidate will have the following experience / skills / qualities:
* A strong desire to learn in the event sales industry.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A self-motivated and results-oriented mindset with a positive attitude.
* Ideally experience of being a Meeting & Events Sales Executive.
* A strong commercial outlook, determined to achieve results.
* Excellent customer care and focus and ability to think outside the box.
£30,638.52 per annum
5% Club Bonus Scheme
Monthly uncapped sales commission
23 days holiday increasing to 28 days based on length of service
