About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll run the kitchen, shape the menu, and inspire the team. The bistro prides itself on quality over quantity, offering a seasonal menu that combines British classics with creative flair. You’ll have the freedom to bring your own ideas to the table while ensuring the restaurant maintains its exceptional reputation.
What You’ll Be Doing
Leading the Kitchen: Managing a small but passionate team, ensuring smooth service and high standards.
Menu Development: Creating seasonal dishes that keep customers coming back, with input from the owner.
Kitchen Management: Overseeing stock control, supplier relationships, and cost efficiency.
️ Maintaining Standards: Ensuring all dishes are prepared to the highest level, balancing flavor, presentation, and consistency.
Mentoring & Training: Developing your team and fostering a positive, professional kitchen culture.
Business Growth: Working with the owner to drive the restaurant forward, with the opportunity to benefit from its success.
What We’re Looking For
✔️ A skilled Head Chef (or experienced Sous Chef ready to step up) with at least 5 years of experience in quality restaurants.
✔️ A passion for seasonal ingredients, fresh flavors, and delivering top-tier dining experiences .
✔️ Strong leadership skills—someone who can motivate and develop a close-knit team.
✔️ A hands-on chef who thrives in a small, busy kitchen .
✔️ Experience managing food costs, stock control, and kitchen operations .
