We are looking for a professional, enthusiastic sous chef to join our team. This position would suit an already experienced sous chef or a junior sous chef or strong CDP looking for the next step in their career. We pride ourselves on using as much local, fresh produce as possible and design our menus to offer something a little different, featuring exciting and interesting dishes.
Responsibilities:
* Taking control of the kitchen on Head Chef's days off
* Supporting the Head Chef in day-to-day operations
* Collaborating with the Head Chef in creating menus and specials
* Nurturing and training chefs
* Maintaining the highest standards
* Ensuring health, safety, and hygiene compliance
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a kitchen environment
* Strong culinary skills with a focus on food safety and hygiene
* Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in team management
* Background in hospitality and restaurant settings
* Supervisory experience in food production is a plus
* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Live-in may be possible for the right candidate.
