About The Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a technically-minded individual to join us as a Junior Tester, on a fixed-term basis of 6 months. The role will require an office presence in our Exeter office for 3-4 days per week. On the other weekdays, you may work from home.
You'll support a large transformation programme, providing test support to the digital workstream and ensuring we provide an outstanding service to enhance the lives of our digital customers.
Please note that this is an entry-level role, in which you'll be working with colleagues to understand the insurance industry, in particular our Quote & Apply systems, plus digital portals for our customers and advisers.
You will receive training and support on Protection insurance from our subject matter experts, and learn how to understand software / business requirements.
Key Accountabilities
* Working as an integral team member alongside your colleagues in the testing and development teams to provide support to the digital workstream.
* Focusing on customer support and the continuous improvement journey.
* With training, become proficient in reading and understanding business requirements.
* Understand test steps/instructions for business requirements.
* Document and explain any “software bugs” to testers and business owners, in a clear and concise manner.
About You
Our ideal candidate will...
* Possess strong numerical skills and high attention to detail.
* Be computer literate and comfortable with using Microsoft office programs such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
* Ideally have obtained experience of using Digital Suite (not essential).
* Be self-motivated with strong organisation and time-management skills.
* Be able to adapt to new working practices with minimum supervision.
* Demonstrate a committed and enthusiastic attitude with the ability to work within a team and independently.
* Competently work in a fast-paced environment while delivering work in a timely and accurate manner.
* Take initiative in certain situations, with a 'think outside the box' problem-solving mindset.
