You will work to support a major post-acquisition transformation programme. This is a day rate contract with excellent longevity running up to the end of December 2025 and potentially beyond. The role will be critical in ensuring the effectiveness of SOX controls as the organisation integrates and optimises its processes. You will be responsible for conducting controls testing, identifying deficiencies, and working with key stakeholders to enhance the bank's control framework.,
* Execute control testing to assess design and operational effectiveness.
* Identify control deficiencies, document findings, and support remediation efforts.
* Collaborate with finance, risk, audit, and business teams to ensure compliance with internal control requirements.
* Support control walkthroughs, ensuring appropriate documentation and evidence gathering.
* Provide insights on process improvements to strengthen controls and mitigate risks.
* Monitor compliance with SOX and regulatory requirements, escalating issues as needed.
* Work closely with internal and external auditors to facilitate smooth audit processes.
Tesco Bank are open to up-skilling on the job; prior controls testing experience is essential whilst SOX specific experience is desirable., Proven experience in controls testing, internal audit, or risk assurance, ideally within banking or financial services.
* Strong understanding of risk and control frameworks.
* Ability to assess control effectiveness and provide practical remediation recommendations.
* Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience working across multiple teams.
* Proficiency in analysing complex processes, identifying gaps, and implementing control improvements.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication
* Relevant qualifications such as CIA, CISA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent are advantageous.
* Experience in SOX specific testing is desirable.
