A new and exciting position has become available in our Compliance Department for a Compliance MTA Associate.
In this role you'll be primarily responsible for conducting regulatory compliance and financial crime compliance reviews within Santander Corporate and Investment Banking.
You'll conduct compliance risk assessments and support the Regional Head of Compliance MTA with ad-hoc projects and tasks.
The difference you'll make:
* Preparing the review scope and presenting it to Compliance Management
* Preparing and following written test plans, and executing all tasks set out within the agreed timeframes
* Maintaining accurate and complete records of work carried out during reviews
* Monitoring the progress and completion of Corrective Action Plans
* Organising, facilitating, and reporting on meetings with internal stakeholders
* Developing close working relationships with the first, second and third line of defences stakeholders to ensure they understand the compliance obligations and regulatory requirements, and the implications of failing to meet such requirements
What you'll bring:
These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role:
* Prior experience in Compliance Monitoring/Testing or Internal Audit preferably within Corporate and Investment Banking
* Knowledge of key regulations, such as FCA Handbook, EMIR, MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, and Volcker
* Experience in either Internal Audit, Assurance, or Compliance Controls Testing
It would also be nice for you to have:
* Understanding of Wholesale Banking Products and secondary markets
* Knowledge of Data Analytics and data interrogation techniques
* Strong influencing and collaborative working skills
* Excellent written & oral communication skills
What else you need to know:
This role is based at our offices in Triton Square, London located within easy walking distance from Warren Street and Euston.

To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 3 days a week (pro-rata for part-time roles).
