Bluebird Care Totton, New Forest, Portsmouth, and Southampton are seeking an experienced and passionate Training Manager to join our dynamic team! If you're passionate about health and social care and love inspiring others through training, this full-time role could be your perfect match. Based at our Totton office with occasional travel to Portsmouth, Ringwood and New Forest, you'll lead the way in shaping the future of our care team!
What’s the role all about?
As our new Training Manager, you'll take charge of developing and implementing comprehensive training programs, ensuring our staff are fully equipped with the skills and knowledge they need. From delivering engaging training sessions on dementia care, Parkinson's disease, diabetes care, and more, you'll play a key role in supporting our team to provide exceptional care.
You’ll manage the training program across all our offices, ensuring alignment with CQC standards and conducting induction training as well as annual updates for our care assistants, supervisors, and coordinators. Plus, you'll be a mentor who brings energy and fun into each session, keeping the team motivated and engaged.
Additionally, you'll manage training budgets, plan future training needs, and build strong relationships with staff, managers, and external professionals. You’ll also participate in the Tier 2 on-call rota (typically 1 in every 5-6 weekends), with extra annual leave as a thank-you for your flexibility.
Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for an inspiring, well-organized, and proactive individual who loves leading training sessions and engaging people in meaningful ways. The ideal candidate will hold training qualifications like PTLLS or Train the Trainer certification, and ideally a minimum of QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Level 5 preferred or working towards). You should have a strong understanding of CQC standards and experience in the health and social care sector. Being comfortable with technology, including tablets and iPads, is a must!
You should be able to work independently, manage your own workload, and hit KPIs. A full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle is essential for travel between locations.
