The Role: We are looking for an experienced Kitchen Manager to work at Dukeswood House, our Kingswood centre in Hexham. We provide nutritious and tasty meals, snacks and desserts to fuel the day's adventure. So, if you have a passion for producing quality dishes and managing a small team - this may be the perfect role for you As our Kitchen Manager, you will ensure that all kitchen operations and activities are carried out in line with the business' operating standards and procedures. You will be responsible for creating a team environment that promotes excellent employee morale and ensures a high level of commitment and pride at our activity centre. Some responsibilities include: Cooking the set menu using agreed products and set portions. Supporting, leading and mentoring a small kitchen team. Following HACCP procedures (safety & compliance) and servicing of equipment. Ordering and controlling stock, and waste management. Creating rotas for staff which are in line with the assigned budget. Allergen management and liaising with relevant people to discuss any complex allergens/dietary requirements. Ensure that all kitchen operations and activities are carried out in line with all applicable legal requirements. About you: Experience of leading a small team with the ability to develop, drive and inspire. Experience of working in a kitchen environment and complying with health and safety standards. Experience working as part of a team and ability to use your initiative. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Intermediate food hygiene certification essential, advanced is desirable. Knowledge on stock control to minimise food wastage. Excellent customer service skills. Driving licence (desirable, due to rural location). Why join Kingswood?
