Head Chef / Executive Head Chef - Relocate To Cheltenham - Up To £80k
Head Chef / Executive Head Chef Wanted For High End Fine Dining Operation- Cheltenham. Salary Is Negotiable To Circa £80k Level + Bonus + Shares (after initial proving period) + Relocation Accommodation.
This role is NOT the norm. Our client is fully committed to finding a highly skilled, professional Rosetted Chef - someone that could be described as the 'next big thing'. The client operates an incredibly well reviewed, high end, established restaurant in Cheltenham. The site has had several million pounds caringly invested into it & frankly is one of the most impressive sites I have visited this year.
The site is currently working to a standard similar to that of 2 Rosettes. There is a focus on using brilliant ingredients without compromise, that are presented in the most modern of ways to their cosmopolitan, well-travelled clientele who could be described as educated diners.
The plan is to attract a level of talent to this role that aligns perfectly with the Directors ethos, someone that can be central to the strategy for the business for the long term. That will include being central to the marketing strategy & will include being the 'face of the food'. You will be working in lockstep with a group of highly successful entrepreneurs who are well financed & bring a sense of calm, consistent decision making & a proven commercial acumen.
Our client is looking for a professional, diligent & highly skilled Head Chef / Executive Head Chef with experience of leading a similar high quality kitchen with a faultless reputation & a track record of maintaining high standards & creative menu's to a discerning clientele. The Directors are keen to hire a successful & proven entrepreneurial Head Chef / Executive Head Chef who also has a proven track record of being involved in building significant businesses over the long term.
This will be a hands-on Head Chef role - leading a team from the front & would suit someone who wants to break free from their current company constraints & shoot the lights out with their next move. You will have autonomy over menu strategy & suppliers and will be given the space to spread your wings.
The client is looking to lock someone in for the long term with this appointment & are offering up to circa £80k base salary plus bonus & are open to having a conversation about gifting shares the business. There is also the offer of high quality relocation accommodation for the interim period if your circumstances require a relocation.
The client is open to candidates from high quality restaurant or hotel restaurant backgrounds but you must have been working at Head Chef level for a minimum of 5 years.
This is a Head Chef role that isn't going to be for everyone. It's aimed at Head Chefs who are growing tired of the thankless corporate contingency and all of the daily tick box exercises and the paperwork that goes with it - or a Head Chef at that 'sweet spot' in their career who think their only two options are to either get a move managing a larger team & push for a group role within 6 - 12 months or set up on their own. It's for a Head Chef who knows that there is a lot more to running a restaurant business than just running shifts. It's for Head Chef who wants the term "my guests" to actually mean something. Perhaps most importantly it's for Head Chefs in companies who don't want to lose the fire in their belly simply because their current company has got nothing better to offer them.
If this sounds like you - send your CV over & we'll have a look at it for you..
