About the role
Reporting into the Aftersales Director, the Training Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive training programs for the aftersales team that enhance technical support, customer service, and compliance skills, as well as evaluating and continuously improving training effectiveness in alignment with organizational goals.
Instructional Design & Content Creation
Design and deliver tailored training programs for the after-sales team using adult learning principles and models.
Develop and maintain engaging materials, including manuals, video tutorials, and interactive e-learning resources.
Training Delivery & Evaluation
Facilitate training sessions through classroom, virtual, and on-the-job methods, catering to diverse learning styles.
Evaluate program effectiveness using feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, making improvements as needed.
Collaboration & Communication
Partner with internal teams and external vendors to align training initiatives with business objectives and industry trends.
Build strong relationships to enhance training quality and integrate expertise into programs.
Technical Support & Compliance
Provide ongoing technical support to trainees and ensure training content reflects industry standards and regulations.
Monitor compliance with company policies and implement quality assurance processes to maintain program effectiveness.
Mentorship & Coaching
Offer personalised coaching to employees, supporting skill development and career progression.
Identify high-potential talent and prepare them for future leadership opportunities.
Experience to succeed
At least 5 years of experience in training and development, preferably in the automotive industry.
Proven ability to manage training programs, teams, and instructional design projects.
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Training, Automotive Engineering, or related fields, with relevant certifications (e.g., CIPD, ATD, CPLP).
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong organisational and project management expertise.
Skilled in facilitating learning for diverse groups and adapting methods to meet varying needs.
Detail-oriented and focused on delivering high-quality outcomes.
Effective under pressure, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Customer-focused with a proactive approach to problem-solving and efficiency improvement.
Passionate about continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and fostering a culture of development.
Experienced supporting a sizeable, fast-moving business.
Experience with automotive manufacturing or EVs is a bonus.
