Sous Chef £36,000 - £38,000 plus Service Charge Are you currently a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie ready to move up. We are currently recruiting for 4 hotel based in St Albans. The restaurant is currently going through a major refurbishment, and they are looking to recruit the right person to work alongside the Head Chef to take the restaurant to the next level. They mainly focus on British and French cuisine. The role Prepare and cook dishes to the highest quality standards, adhering to recipes and presentation guidelines. Oversee food quantities and portioning to meet restaurant demand, minimise food waste, and control costs. Support and work closely with the Head Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Step in to lead the kitchen team when needed and assist in developing new menu items. Follow all company health, safety, and hygiene policies. Report maintenance needs, accidents, and any unsafe working conditions. Collaborate with the Head Chef and Executive Chef to develop and refine the Brasserie menu in line with seasonal ingredients and local flavour. You You are at a Sous Chef or Chef de Partie level with at least 2 years of experience in a similar high-quality restaurant or brasserie setting. You bring creativity, attention to detail, and a deep appreciation for food and flavours. You are collaborative, supportive, and ready to lead by example in a busy kitchen environment.
