Description Executive Reward Manager 6 Month Fixed Term Contract UK - Travel to London will be required Hybrid Reporting to the VP Reward, the Executive Reward Manager (Interim) will manage and drive the executive reward process for Pearson. The Executive Reward Manager will have close working relationships with Group Finance, Investor Relations, Company Secretarial, Tax and Global Mobility. They will be seen as the trusted advisor and will work closely with VP reward, total reward as well as senior stakeholders to bring pragmatic executive reward solutions. Responsibilities include: Assisting throughout yearly remuneration committee and Annual General Meeting cycle, drafting and, in some cases, checking papers, working materials and backup analysis Managing analysis and drawing conclusions for target setting, remuneration benchmarking and valuation of benefits and equity awards Provide support for the assessment, design, implementation as well as Review of the global career framework at senior levels Perform industry and financial research related to compensation strategy and design Identify best practices and emerging trends in executive compensation; to include regulatory, legislative and shareholder developments and identify issues that impact compensation strategy and design Develop pay structures and incentive designs that help support business strategy Standardisation of policies and processes Understanding and maintaining of information ensuring data integrity and appropriate protection Working with Group Finance to ensure reward metrics are tracked and reported accurately Partner on other projects as assigned Author: SB Page 2 of 2 Classification: Public/Pearson Internal/Pearson Public About you The ideal candidate would be experienced in working within a complex medium to large organisation AND/OR within Consultancy. You will have a passion for solving problems and have the ability to think holistically when considering executive reward. Further Key requirements for the role include: Experience of UK executive remuneration regulation and remuneration committee work for listed companies, including drafting experience on Directors’ Remuneration Reports. In depth knowledge of tax, corporate finance, regulatory and accounting requirements as they relate to executive reward Passion and skill to engage in analytic and pragmatic problem solving Ability to see the broader picture and how reward fits into business strategy Ability to manage multiple projects and project components with inter-related asset and timing dependencies Highly collaborative individual who is seen the “trusted advisor” across functional groups and senior stakeholders Clear communication and attention to detail Desirable but not essential: Experience of share plans administration & certification in share plans (such as ICSA) Experience of collaborating with mobility teams on support for mobile senior executives Experience using Adobe InCopy Your rewards & benefits We know you’ll do great work, so we give a lot back with some of the best benefits in the business.
