Your role and responsibilities The Consultant Social worker is responsible for the management of their own complex and challenging caseload and offering support to social care staff within the team. Ideally, you will have experience of partnership working and working successfully with colleagues in other services on complex issues. You will hold a case load of primarily 16 and 17 year old care leavers, providing 1:1 support. You will promote the need for improvement and act as a role model for change. Positive, committed, adaptable and thorough, those around you will appreciate your confident approach and your personal integrity. You must be able to work to deadlines and motivate others to work effectively. You will need experience of working with young people in a professional capacity an understanding of the issues and challenges that affect Care Leavers as they move into independence enthusiasm and to be creative in engaging young people a relevant social work qualification and Social Work England registration is essential You can view a full list of requirements in the Job and Person Profile (docx).
