JOB TITLE: Testing Analyst - 2nd Line JOB LOCATION: Belfast TERMS: Permanent THE JOB We are looking for a highly skilled Testing Analyst to join our team. You will collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of software releases, meeting business objectives. Your role will focus on testing, defect management, and ensuring high-quality releases on time. WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING? Test Planning & Execution: Develop and execute test plans, ensuring comprehensive coverage for functional, non-functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing across various environments. Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects, working with development teams to resolve issues efficiently. Collaboration: Partner with developers and business analysts to align test cases with project timelines and requirements, ensuring both technical and user needs are met. Test Reporting & Documentation: Create detailed test reports, highlighting risks, issues, and progress against release timelines. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to enhancing testing processes, advocating for best practices in methodologies, tools, and techniques. Post-Release Testing: Monitor and ensure new releases don't affect existing functionality. Compliance: Adhere to best practices, Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based testing environments. WHAT WILL YOU BRING? Proven experience with functional, regression, and integration testing. Experience using test management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based environments (e.g., Azure). Knowledge of API testing tools like Postman. Understanding of microservice architecture. Strong verbal and written communication, with the ability to write clear test plans, cases, and reports. Ability to justify testing decisions to stakeholders. Experience in Agile environments using exploratory and risk-based testing. Effective in cross-functional team collaboration, balancing technical and business needs.
