We are seeking a Learning Designer or Content Creator to enhance our Seed & Planting Course on the Moodle platform.
This is a 3-week contract, potentially running part-time over 6 weeks, from mid-October, with flexible working hours.
The ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience in learning design or digital learning content creation, preferably in further education, higher education, international development, public sector, charities, or NGO.
The successful candidate will work closely with a CABI Learning Designer, UX Designer, and Moodle Administrator to deliver specific updates to current courses.
Key responsibilities include:
* Planning work to fit into 3-week or 6-week cycles to deliver updates to current courses.
* Liaising with subject matter experts, learning and UX designers, and Moodle administrators to understand required changes and actions.
* Reviewing the Seed & Planting eLearning course in build, updating and implementing UX changes, SME feedback, and writing effective and robust certification assessment activities.
Key skills and experience include:
* Designing clear and concise activities and assessments to help people gain skills and demonstrate capabilities.
* Working closely with subject matter experts and users to identify measurable learning objectives, design practice scenario-based activities.
* Writing clearly and concisely, using a style and language appropriate to the audience.
* Considering the whole user experience, from initial touchpoint through to the final certificate.
* Explaining and applying current theories, practices, and models about how people learn.
* Experience in using Moodle and HTML/CSS would be advantageous.
* Able to use Office 365 and Zoom or Teams Channels efficiently.
