Responsibilities
* Oversee all operational aspects of the Kitchen and staff in the absence of the Head Chef.
* Ensure all kitchen staff prepare and present quality food, and that all final products meet Company Standards.
* Ensure all kitchen staff follow correct food and hygiene standards.
* Lead by example, ensuring that the kitchen is always presentable.
* Provide a ‘hands-on’ management approach and lead by example.
* Participate in the recruitment process as required, including interviews and trials for potential Second Chefs, Trainee Chefs, and Kitchen Porters.
* Communicate regularly with the Head Chef regarding all stock levels.
Minimum Requirements
* Previous experience in a similar position is preferred but not essential.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
* Ability to carry out manual handling, including lifting and moving stock and equipment.
* Confident in the use of Microsoft Office and Outlook.
