Ashley Kate is pleased to be working exclusively with a well-established engineering firm in Sheffield on a brand-new Part-time HR Director role.
You will be reporting directly to the board of Directors and supporting and leading the people strategy as the company undertakes a transformation journey following PE investment.
This role will be roughly around 4 - 5 days a month dependent on what is needed from the business, and you will need to be flexible in terms of approach and availability.
Working initially on a range of complex Employee relations issues, you must have a strong understanding of UK Employment Law and be able to handle sensitive situations in a timely manner ensuring that the best commercial solution is met. You will have ideally worked with unions and be able to navigate any consultation meetings in a professional manner, following up with concise and accurate paperwork.
You will also need to be the strategic lead in terms of the full employee life-cycle, and you will be responsible for ensuring that all policies and processes are fit for purpose. Then ensure that the business has a strong focus in place around talent, succession, and retention.
Part-time HR Director role - About You
You must have operated at a Senior Executive HR level previously.
Strong UK employment knowledge is essential and ideally knowledge of working in a unionised environment.
It would be highly advantageous if you have worked in an engineering, manufacturing, or similar environment.
You must be CIPD Level 7 qualified or equivalent.
The base is Sheffield, and so you will need to be on-site and able to work 1 day a week based on the client's needs.
Please note this is a permanent PAYE position.
