JOB DESCRIPTION
Primary objectives for the Food and Beverage Supervisor include:
1. Assisting in managing the daily operations of the Abbey Kitchen Restaurant and Rufford Mill Wedding Venue to maximize business opportunities in line with the company’s business plan.
2. Leading a team to provide high-quality, innovative food and beverage services that meet customer needs and increase profitability.
3. Ensuring excellent customer care within a safe environment by guiding and assisting customers.
4. Maintaining high standards of food presentation, hygiene, and cleanliness.
5. Implementing and assessing health and safety procedures regularly.
6. Introducing innovative ideas to increase facility usage.
7. Adhering to financial regulations regarding cash handling, reconciliation, and invoicing.
8. Ensuring compliance with licensing laws.
9. Supporting staff training and development.
10. Working as part of a team to achieve usage and profitability targets.
DAY-TO-DAY TASKS
1. Supporting food preparation, cooking, and serving.
2. Managing staffing levels for safe and efficient operations.
3. Maintaining cleanliness and presentation of all food and beverage areas.
4. Serving food and beverages, including bar services.
5. Assisting with staff rotas and adapting hours based on business needs.
6. Maintaining health, safety, and hygiene standards.
7. Handling cash transactions according to procedures.
8. Promoting secondary spending through regular promotions.
9. Monitoring and restocking stock levels.
10. Performing any other duties necessary for the smooth operation of the facility.
THE CANDIDATE
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills: A basic food hygiene certificate and at least one year's experience in a restaurant or function suite are preferred. A personal license and management experience are advantageous. Skills in food preparation and service are essential.
