Senior Data Engineer About the Role We’re hiring a Senior Data Engineer to play a crucial role in rebuilding our data infrastructure from scratch. Our goal is to transition from legacy BI tools to a modern data platform that can handle current and future data needs efficiently. You'll select and implement the tooling that best fits our requirements, likely involving Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift. This is an opportunity to shape our data strategy from the ground up, and to enable better decision-making by delivering reliable, accessible data. What You’ll Do Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and data infrastructure, with a modern data warehouse architecture. Establish standards for data quality and integrity, ensuring reliability and accuracy in all data used by the company. Create and maintain documentation for data processes, schemas, and integrations. Facilitate the shift from isolated reporting systems to an integrated data platform that serves analytics, machine learning, and reporting use cases. Implement requirements from across the company. Translate between the technical and non-technical world, both at the idea and maintenance stages. Requirements Experience : Strong background in data engineering within cloud environments. Experience in regulated industries is helpful. Technical Expertise : Proficient in data engineering practices, cloud-native architectures, ETL/ELT pipelines, and CI/CD tooling. Data Modeling and Storage : Skilled in designing data models for analytical processing and working with relational and non-relational databases. At least one o f: Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or equivalent. Automation and Monitoring : Experience with CI/CD for data applications, setting up data integrity checks, and implementing monitoring/alerting mechanisms. At least one of : Airflow, Luigi, DBT, or equivalent. At least one of : Terraform, Pulumi, or equivalent. Stakeholder Management : Able to communicate complex data strategies in clear, concise terms, especially to non-technical stakeholders. Experience training non-technical stakeholders to use your platforms would be a big plus.
