Deployment Lead & Instructor (Aviation Training & Safety)
Location: Remote with extensive global travel (approx. 50%) - For logistical purposes, ideal locations would be commutable to Manchester or Gatwick but applications from other locations are welcomed.
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 experienced aviation training professionals to join a global CBTA Deployment team, supporting airlines in transitioning to Competency-Based Training & Assessment (CBTA) and Evidence-Based Training (EBT) programs. This role plays a critical part in enhancing aviation safety by ensuring pilots receive training tailored to real-world operational challenges.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead CBTA Deployment teams at customer airlines, assessing their training needs and guiding program transitions.
* Utilize prior instructor experience to review the pilot training needs to design and implement competency-based pilot training programs aligned with CBTA/EBT methodologies.
* Oversee the development, delivery, and evaluation of airline training programs, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
* Conduct detailed assessments of airline training philosophies and provide strategic recommendations for CBTA/EBT implementation.
* Gather data, generate comprehensive reports, and present findings to airline stakeholders.
* Evaluate training accuracy and quality, ensuring best practices in pilot development.
Ideal Candidate Profile
* Holds or has previously held a commercial pilot license.
* Minimum three years in airline Flight Operations or Training Management.
* Expertise in CBTA and EBT methodologies, pilot training regulations, and safety management systems (SMS).
* Strong instructional background (TRI/TRE) with proven leadership in training environments.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and team leadership skills.
* Experience in project and program management within the commercial airline training sector.
* Ability to travel extensively worldwide.
