As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the implementation of cloud data platforms, IoT analytics, data integration, and migration projects. You will be responsible for delivering Data Solutions that support a robust data architecture framework, collaborating with Data Architects and Insight Analysts to ensure the orchestration of data pipelines and maintain data provenance, quality, and lineage. Data Engineer Location: North East England (Hybrid working) Salary: Competitive, based on experience & level Senior Data Engineer: £55,000 - £65,000 Lead Data Engineer: £75,000 - £85,000 Day to Day of the role: Collaborate with Data Architects and Insight Analysts on cloud data warehouse and IoT analytics projects using cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure. Create and maintain optimal data pipeline processes across various data layers and models. Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code Solutions, adhering to source control best practices. Manage workload using Agile delivery methods and provide coaching or mentoring as needed. Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and methodologies in cloud and data, and maintain relevant certifications. Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring technical solutions meet their needs. Required Skills & Qualifications: Experience in data engineering or business intelligence roles. Proficiency in ETL and data pipeline implementation, with a technology-agnostic approach. Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Azure Event Hubs, AWS Glue, AWS S3, Databricks, Snowflake, or similar technologies. Understanding of data warehouse and data lake principles, and data modelling techniques. Strong SQL skills and exposure to data engineering coding languages such as Python, R, or Spark.
