What you’ll be doing: We’re on a mission to ensure our internal control environment is not only compliant, but robust and effective in mitigating operational risk. We’re looking for a Testing and Remediation Manager who will play a crucial role in safeguarding our business and helping us stay one step ahead. In this role, you’ll help shape and deliver the control testing and remediation strategy. You’ll ensure that we don’t just tick the regulatory boxes — we embed good control practice and insight across the organisation. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you’ll support the development and quality assurance of our control testing processes, while coordinating remediation activity that strengthens our operations and reduces risk exposure. Develop and embed a control testing strategy and framework, driving continuous improvement and consistency across the Group. Oversee testing of key controls, ensuring their design and operational effectiveness are rigorously assessed. Identify and report on control gaps and deficiencies, working with stakeholders to build clear, actionable plans. Establish a remediation framework, ensuring issues are resolved in line with our internal Minimum Standard. Lead reporting of testing results and remediation activity, translating complex findings into clear, insightful reports for senior leaders. Keep us compliant, ensuring activities meet all relevant regulatory requirements, and adapt our approach in response to any changes. Work in close collaboration with teams across the business, including Risk, Audit, and first-line teams, to create a joined-up and proactive approach to controls testing. Champion continuous improvement, sharing best practices and introducing innovative methods to strengthen our control environment. Our hybrid model offers a 'best of both worlds' approach. When you'll be in the office depends on your role and team, but colleagues spend at least 2 days a week in the office What you'll need: We’re looking for a confident, organised, and methodical leader with a passion for control frameworks and operational resilience. You’ll need: Strong experience in control testing or risk management, ideally in a regulated environment. A deep understanding of internal controls, regulatory compliance, and risk management frameworks. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex issues clearly and effectively at senior levels. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a methodical and proactive approach. Experience using risk and control management tools/software. A high level of personal integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
