The Portman in Marylebone has an opportunity for a first class passionate Head Chef at the top of their game to come and join our team.
We are an independent pub company operating a collection of eight Gastro Pubs, set in stunning central and south London locations, offering the very best in modern British cuisine in a smart-casual environment using great ingredients and a focus on excellent food.
Job Type: Full-time
To be aHead Chefat Inda Pubs you must have:
* At least two year's experience as Head Chef leading a team in a high volume site, preferably at a pub or a restaurant with a focus on British seasonal food.
* Be happy turning out a perfect Scotch Egg (with a runny yolk) or sausage roll as well as classics like fish and chips and English roast! Whilst also keeping an interesting a la carte offer and seasonal specials.
* Leadership skills to be able to inspire and drive a kitchen team by example with attention to detail and the ability to organise and manage workload effectively
* Experience working within margins and costings to run a profitable business but with a creative brain to come up with new dishes within budget.
* A solid understanding of all UK food hygiene, health and safety, fire safety and employment laws.
* Wants to be part of an exciting group of Gastro Pubs that strive to produce the British food and is constantly looking to expand!
