We have the rare but exciting opportunity to join ourHeroics Cafe team as a Junior Sous Chef based at Bicester Heritage, Oxfordshire.
Heroics Cafe takes pride in crafting freshly prepared dishesusing only the finest ingredients, including authentic Italian breads andpastries sourced from Farina London.
The menu boasts a wide selection of healthy options servedin generous portions to keep customers fuelled throughout the day. Beyond ourdelectable daily offerings, Heroics Café extends its services to include eventcatering for business meetings and social gatherings.
We offer a variety of grab and go concepts, includingsandwiches and paninis, hot and cold beverages with snacks, hot classicseasonal dishes as standard and then have a street food calendar throughout theyear.
TheResponsibilities for Junior Sous Chef
1. Catering to the needs of business lunches, prepared in the Heroics café and delivered to on site offices.
2. Day to day running and responsibility formenus
3. Designing, costing and creatingspecifications for menus
4. Independent working
5. The role will involve working between 2sites: Headquarters (2 minutes away) and on site at Bicester Heritage.
6. Working the Breakfast and lunch service –sandwiches, salads and hot dishes made to order
7. Tomanage the kitchen production ensuring quality and consistency every time, inline with the company guidelines
8. Toendeavor to deliver high standards in all areas, including presentation,taste, food safety and quality of produce
9. Tomanage and exercise company Food Safety and Health and Safety policies
10. Totake a “hands-on” approach in managing, assisting with, monitoring andoverseeing all production, stock and operational kitchen related concerns
11. Tocontrol and minimise all kitchen associated costs without detriment to thebusiness or service
12. Towork with the Heroics Café Management team in developing and driving forward thebusiness
13. Toassist other company departments if and where required
The Role Specifications
14. Food Hygiene Level 3
15. Confident on food safety and HACCAPrequirements
16. Strong client and customer interaction
17. Great communication skills
18. Must have a full, clean driving license
The Role
19. 45hrs per week
20. Generally, the role is Monday – Friday (7am –4.30pm)
21. Some Weekend work will be required dependent onbusiness needs (overtime paid for hours over the contracted 45 hours)
