Our client is a highly successful Logistics provider who offers Air, Sea & Road Freight Forwarding solutions on a global scale. They have an established international network, which provides customers with exceptional service at competitive prices.
They are now looking to strengthen the sales team and are recruiting for an Internal Freight Sales Executive to be based at their premises in Warrington. This is a newly created position and forms part of the Sales Team, requiring the jobholder to offer support and assistance to the BDM and sales department. You will build relationships with potential and existing clients and ensure that a high standard of customer care is maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Dealing with sales queries via telephone/email
2. Monitoring and maintaining a shared email inbox
3. Following up on sales quotes
4. Cold calling/prospecting and making appointments if possible
5. Providing new leads, market intelligence, and admin support
6. Lead qualification/researching new customers/targets
7. Following up on all sales leads and investigating new customers
Minimum Requirements:
1. Internal freight sales or freight forwarding operations experience to move into a more commercial sales role
2. Freight forwarding experience or related experience
3. Ability to work to deadlines and an overall understanding of the freight forwarding industry
4. A commercial approach and customer-focused skills
5. Confident customer service skills
6. Global geographic knowledge
7. IT skills (Microsoft Office)
8. Cold calling experience
9. High level of communication skills to maintain internal and external relations
Salary and Benefits:
1. £33,000-£40,000 depending on experience
2. Working hours: Monday to Friday - 09:00hrs to 17:00hrs with 1 hour lunch
3. Holidays: 21 days + Bank holidays to start
