Location: Fully on-site or hybrid (3 days + 2 days WFH) in our GivEnergy UK Head Office in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire (ST5 9HX)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm (flexible)
Experience Level: Due to the nature of the role, we are looking for a solid data engineer with at least 3+ years of experience. 1+ years AWS experience would be beneficial, but not essential.

What You’ll Be Doing:
* Work closely with the data science team on our data lake.
* Construct models and pipelines for research, internal/external reporting, and machine learning purposes.
* Design, develop, and improve data flows and transforms.
* Consult on & execute architectural & tech stack improvements to our data pipelines and stores.
* Maintain system stability and optimise data access and processing performance in our AWS environment.
* Support data-driven decision making within the business.
* Innovate with amazing colleagues on technology to reduce customer bills and fight against energy poverty.
What We’re Looking For:
* 1+ years in cloud environments such as AWS.
Including an understanding and competence in:
* ETL processes and data warehouse management.
* MLOps.
* Performance optimisation.
* Familiarity with big data frameworks like Hadoop, Spark, Hive, and cloud-based data services.
* Python.
* SQL.
* AWS RDS or other RDBMS.
