We are currently recruiting for a Sous Chef for a historic and much-loved country house hotel and wedding venue on the outskirts of Glasgow. This venue is seekingan experienced, dynamic and dependable Sous Chef to help assist the head chef in the running of the kitchen. The ideal candidate for this role will have a broad kitchen background, comfortable in all sections of a busy, modern, well-appointed kitchen and the utmost commitment to doing simple things well. The core menu offering is classic, well-executed modern British gastropub, sitting alongside lighter bites, home-baking, afternoon tea and events & wedding catering. Working alongside an outstanding head chef, this could be a terrific opening for the right candidate looking to progress from a junior sous chef level; previous experience in training and nurturing junior staff is strongly preferred. The venue is owned and operated by a hugely experienced, professional and well-respected management team who have recently undertaken a full refurbishment and update of the premises, and this is a rare opportunity for a talented and driven Sous Chef who is eager to make their mark in a prestigious, rewarding environment.
