Job Title: SENIOR SALES EXECUTIVE - TIMBER IMPORTER & DISTRIBUTOR
Job Description:
Our client is a leading Importer & Distributor of Timber, Plywood, and Panel Products. Due to expansion, they are seeking a SENIOR SALES EXECUTIVE to lead and develop their Sales Team to promote their high-end Timber and Panel products in the South West. This role requires an experienced SALES EXECUTIVE with comprehensive knowledge of the Timber / Panel UK Markets and the desire to develop & grow sales through existing & new customers.
Reporting to: DEPOT DIRECTOR
As a SENIOR SALES EXECUTIVE, your role will include:
1. Overseeing the day-to-day management of your Sales Team.
2. Ensuring your Team achieves sales targets and volume.
3. Pro-actively driving sales growth by building and maintaining relationships with key sectors including Timber & Builders Merchants, Shopfitters, Exhibition Companies, and the KBB sector.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Drive sales to ensure that your Team achieves sales, volume, and margin targets.
2. Staff training & development.
3. Stock Management.
4. Liaise with the supply chain team & suppliers.
5. Quoting and costing customer requirements.
6. Understanding customer needs and requirements, researching accounts, and identifying key players.
7. Maintain & expand your database.
8. Create monthly reports for the Management Team.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
1. Face-to-face selling and negotiation skills.
2. Experience within the Timber / Panel Product Markets.
3. Strong presenting skills.
4. Self-motivated with the ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
5. Effective communication skills.
6. Customer-focused with sound commercial skills.
7. Good IT skills, PC literate, and experience with Microsoft Outlook.
