We are looking for a Head Chef to oversee the Rooftop kitchen and production kitchen at The Other Place theatre and be able to manage, lead, motivate and develop all chefs. You will also collaborate closely with all chefs and champion the food at the RSC both in and outside of performance times and in line with RSC organisational objectives.

Reporting to the Executive Head Chef, key areas of responsibility include (please see the full job description and person specification for the comprehensive list):
* To lead the food in the Rooftop restaurant (plated), retail (Grab and go/packaged products), events, pastry (cakes and other goods) across site.
* Oversee menu changes and rotation of dishes in conjunction with the Executive Head Chef and arrange tastings, specs, and final sign off all menus. Ensure menus are planned seasonally.
* Serve as a role model to all chefs and provide a link between front of house and kitchen, liaising with all colleagues.
* Find innovative ways of producing menus which meet and exceed the agreed GP budget each month.
* To ensure full compliance with all food hygiene and associated legislative regulations.
To be suitable for this role, it is essential that you have the following knowledge and experience:
* Knowledge of Procure wizard and / or associated stock management and ordering systems.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Knowledge of food trends and innovation which can inspire and excite.
* Personable management style with exceptional social skills.
* Previous experience of working within a high volume, quality food environment at a senior level with plated service, event and retail experience.
* Experience of using a computer, managing emails (Outlook), Excel and a good command of the English language both written and verbal.
* Strong leadership skills combined with a proven ability in the management of a large team.
This is a full-time, permanent position based in Stratford upon Avon. You will be working 48 hours per week, 5 days out of 7, including evenings and weekends.
