* £50,000 - £55,000 pa
* Bicester, Oxfordshire - but with the requirement to travel and work at venues and events across the UK.
* Absolute Taste LTD
* Permanent, 40 Hrs per week across 5 out of 7 days
* 33 Holidays a year (including bank holidays)

As an innovative business of culinary and customer service providers, delivering inspirational food and experiences to a number of fixed sites, high street brands & major sporting events, we are seeking to add a highly creative and experienced Head Chef to join our growing team.

This position is ideal for a passionate and forward-thinking chef with a proven track record in high-end restaurants, boutique hotels, or bespoke catering, who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will lead a talented team, crafting innovative menus that showcase the latest culinary trends and deliver extraordinary experiences that leave a lasting impression.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Menu Development: Create innovative, seasonal, and bespoke menus that reflect Absolute Taste's commitment to excellence, incorporating current food trends, dietary requirements, and sustainability practices.
* Event Planning & Collaboration: Partner with the Operations team and clients to meticulously plan and coordinate all event logistics, ensuring seamless communication, smooth execution, and exceeding client expectations.
* Team Leadership: Provide strong leadership to large kitchen teams, fostering a collaborative environment, delegating effectively, and ensuring high performance during demanding events.
* Rota & Resource Management: Develop and manage staff rotas, anticipate staffing needs, and monitor resource utilization to optimize coverage and minimize wastage.
* Quality Assurance: Uphold Absolute Taste's high standards by rigorously reviewing all dishes, conducting kitchen inspections, and implementing quality control processes to ensure compliance with regulations and client expectations.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
* Proven experience in a senior chef role, ideally within events or catering.
* Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
* Exceptional menu writing and culinary creativity.
* Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
* Proficiency in cost management, budgeting, and food ordering systems.
* Thorough understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required.
