The Role:
We are pleased to share that we have a great opportunity for a Data Engineer to join the growing Digital & Analytics team here at Ramsay Health Care. This role will be engaged in the implementation of a new healthcare data ecosystem to drive improved decision making and insights. The role will involve designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining high-performing, scalable, and secure data solutions for Ramsay Health Care.
This role will collaborate and work closely with business and IT stakeholders and will work alongside an integrated team of Data Analysts and Data Engineers to deliver and support data products across the business. This role sits within the Digital & Technology function, where you will be supported with career development opportunities and access to the Ramsay Academy. You will be home-based; however, travel to our head offices in Bedford and London will be expected.
What You’ll Bring with You:
1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or in a Data & Analytics related discipline
2. Knowledge in data structures and data architecture
3. Understanding of relational databases and data warehousing
4. Knowledge of SQL and Python
5. Some understanding of writing technical documentation
6. Eagerness to learn and stay updated with the latest technologies in the field of data engineering
7. Strong organisational and time management skills
8. Qualifications or certifications in Azure or other cloud providers, agile or DevOps is highly desirable
9. Technical industry certification in data engineering, relevant coursework or projects in data structures, algorithms, database management, and programming
