Im delighted to be working alongside and recruiting for a luxury small hotel, located in Edinburghs West End. This is a chance for someone to roll up their sleeves and really make a meaningful contribution to the business as the venue embarks on a new journey.
About the Role
As Head Chef, youll have the freedom to develop a menu that changes with the seasons, with a focus on letting the ingredients speak for themselves. The current 5-5-5 menu offers guests the chance to sample what Scotland has to offer and were looking for someone who can bring fresh ideas while maintaining quality and consistency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee all Back of House operations, including team management, rota planning, holidays, and staff training.
* Ensure health and safety and food hygiene standards are met and always maintained.
* Manage gross profit and work within set budgets.
* Work closely with senior management to enhance guest satisfaction and help drive business.
* Maintain a high standard of food quality and presentation through a hands-on approach.
What Were Looking For:
* Strong kitchen management experience, with a track record of leading a team effectively.
* A creative approach to menu development with a focus on seasonal, locally sourced ingredients where possible.
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Financial understanding, including gross profit and cost control.
