Day-to-day of the role: Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and introduce a new menu that reflects seasonal availability and current culinary trends. Manage kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef, ensuring seamless service and quality. Supervise and train kitchen staff, promoting a culture of high standards and continuous improvement. Maintain effective relationships with local suppliers and growers to ensure the procurement of high-quality ingredients. Uphold the kitchen's food safety and cleanliness standards. Experiment with new dishes and techniques, contributing to menu diversity and innovation. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience as a Sous Chef, ideally in a boutique hotel or similar environment. Experience working in kitchens with up to one rosette is highly desirable. Strong ability to source and collaborate with local suppliers and growers. Excellent leadership skills and the ability to manage a team under pressure.
