The Senior Sales Executive will play a pivotal role in driving sales to accounting firms, with a specific focus on mid-sized practices across the UK. This position is suited to a highly driven, results-oriented individual with a strong track record in direct sales within the accountancy market. The ideal candidate should possess a proactive approach, adept at managing complex sales cycles and building long-term relationships with accountants.
Senior Sales Executive (Accounting SAAS) - Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute a targeted sales strategy to grow revenue from mid-sized accountancy firms across London.
* Actively engage with prospective clients, presenting tailored SaaS solutions that address specific industry pain points, particularly around tax management and productivity.
* Partner closely with the marketing team to ensure alignment on campaigns and messaging that resonates with accountancy firms.
* Conduct in-depth market research to identify and prioritise leads, working through an extensive network of potential partners.
* Foster strong relationships with key decision-makers within firms, becoming a trusted advisor and securing long-term contracts.
* Collaborate with the product team to provide feedback on market demands, contributing to future product enhancements.
Senior Sales Executive (Accounting SAAS) - Qualifications & Experience
* Proven experience in a similar sales role within the SaaS, fintech, or accounting software sector.
* Demonstrated success selling directly to accountancy firms, with a deep understanding of the unique challenges and priorities within this market.
* Track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets, ideally managing a book of business of around £500,000+ annually.
* Knowledge of accountancy software platforms (e.g., Xero, Intuit) and an understanding of HMRC’s digital tax infrastructure.
* Strong interpersonal skills with an assertive, results-oriented approach to relationship building.
* Comfortable working in a dynamic, growth-focused environment with high expectations for performance and accountability.
