Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Sous Chef located in Swansea. The Sous Chef will support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, execution, and presentation. Responsibilities include managing kitchen staff, maintaining inventory and supplies, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and assisting in menu planning and development. The Sous Chef will also be involved in training and mentoring kitchen staff.
Qualifications
1. Culinary skills including food preparation, cooking techniques, and plating
2. Kitchen management experience including inventory control and staff supervision
3. Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards
4. Effective communication and leadership skills
5. Creativity and ability to contribute to menu planning and development
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
7. Previous experience in a similar role within a hospitality or hotel setting is a plus
8. Relevant culinary education or certification is preferred
