Robert Half are working with a leading market research business to recruit a Finance and HR Director for a 9-month maternity cover paying between £450-550/day outside IR35 (depending on experience). This role will be based on site 2-3 days per week at the Central London office.
The Company
This role offers the chance to work for a thriving market research business providing specialist media measurement solutions. This is a senior role, with responsibility for the company's financial and HR operations as well as ensuring compliance with company and employment law and data protection regulations.
The Role
As the Finance and HR Director, you would be supporting with:
1. Manage financial processes from annual budgeting through to day to day financial operations ensuring these tasks are carried out efficiently, effectively and in line with best practice.
2. Oversee the preparation and distribution of monthly management accounts and periodic reforecasts to the shareholders and management team.
3. Report financial results and other key financial recommendations to the board of directors and bring other key issues to their attention.
4. Annual statutory accounts production; PAYE and Payroll, Corporation Tax, VAT registration and accounting
5. Manage staff payroll and other employment areas such as employment contracts, staff insurances and all tax requirements.
6. Oversee employee benefit plans, with particular emphasis on maximizing a cost-effective benefits package.
7. Ensure adherence to all employment law and providing advice on HR issues, obtaining third party advice where required.
Your Profile
8. Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with experience leading both finance and HR functions
9. Ability to lead business planning, cost monitoring and staff welfare and development across the company
10. Prior experience in a similar interim / contract role would be beneficial but not necessary.
Compensation & Benefits
As well as a salary of between £450-550/day outside IR35 (dependant on experience) the business offers hybrid working (2-3 days per week in the office) from their office in Holborn.
