We have a fantastic opportunity available to join the team at Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre as a Deputy Head Chef. This role is perfect for someone who lives local, enjoys delivering first class food and thrives being part of a team.
Amadeus is a multi-award-winning catering business with over 40 years of experience, operating at various venues including its’ home sites at the NEC, ICC, VOX, Utilita Arena and Resorts World Arena, as well as regional venues including Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre, where you’ll be based.

Primary purpose of the role:
To undertake the production and delivery of specific event and venue food service requirements with associated planning, to set specifications with a goal of continual improvement of standards to the group's food vision.
Key Responsibilities:
Work day time shifts with the occasional evening shift
Liaise with Senior Head Chefs and Management to plan and support all food offers within their designated areas of responsibility.
Supervise and manage multiple Chefs, Porters and Agency Staff ensuring they are fully briefed, compliant, and knowledgeable within their designated work area.
Responsible for developing team, monitoring the performance of staff, using appropriate measures and timely feedback
Work and plan to set guidelines for Labour, Food Cost and
Wastage to ensure costs are kept in line within business unit budgets.
Check food quality and deliver food production in line with Departmental Specifications, bringing any concerns to the attention of the Senior Head Chef.
Ensure Food Safety requirements are met by you, your direct reports and those working within your areas of responsibility in accordance with Amadeus Food Safety policy and procedures, liaising with Amadeus Food and Safety Support Department where necessary.
Skills, behaviours, and experience:
Experience in a similar position
Minimum City Guilds 7062 or NVQ Level 3
Intermediate Hygiene
Basic Computer Knowledge
Full Clean Driving License and own transport - desired but essential
