Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food preparation and a strong background in culinary arts, combined with effective leadership skills to manage and inspire the kitchen staff. As the Head Chef, you will oversee food production, maintain high standards of quality, and ensure that our restaurant operates smoothly and efficiently.
Shift patterns
9am till 5pm or 10am till 6pm - Mon - Fri, potential for additional work over weekends
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance.
* Oversee all aspects of food preparation, ensuring that dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
* Develop and design innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
* Supervise daily kitchen operations, including inventory management, food safety practices, and cleanliness.
* Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food presentation, and kitchen procedures.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
* Monitor food production processes to maintain quality control and consistency in every dish served.
* Assist in managing kitchen budgets, including food costs and waste reduction strategies.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within a restaurant environment.
* DBS IS a MUST
* Strong culinary skills with expertise in food preparation and presentation.
* Exceptional leadership abilities with experience in team management and supervising staff.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining a clean kitchen environment.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and other departments.
* A passion for culinary arts and a desire to create memorable dining experiences for guests.
