Description:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Sous Chef to join a dynamic kitchen team. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of culinary operations. You will work closely with the Head Chef to develop new menu items, ensure the quality of dishes, and lead the kitchen staff in delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and development
2. Oversee kitchen operations in the Head Chef’s absence
3. Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest quality standards
4. Train, supervise, and motivate kitchen staff
5. Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
6. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
7. Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain a clean and organised work environment
8. Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture
Requirements:
9. Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role
10. Experience of working with local fresh produce
11. Culinary degree or equivalent experience
12. Strong leadership and team management skills
13. Past experience working in a 2 Rosette or higher restaurant.
14. Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques and practices
15. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
16. Creativity and passion for food
17. Attention to detail and commitment to excellence
18. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
