Staffline is recruiting a Sous Chef in Northwich, Cheshire.
The rate of pay is £12 per hour.
This role offers both full and part-time hours. The hours of work are:
- 6am to 6pm
Your Time at Work
As a Sous Chef, your duties include (this list is not exhaustive):
1. As a senior member of the catering team, the sous chef takes responsibility for all catering-related aspects of the operation.
2. To run service in the kitchen in the absence of the Head chef, working to pre-agreed menus and specifications.
3. Ensuring that all ordering follows the protocols put in place by the senior team at Delamere and that the right quantities of the right items are ordered.
4. Ensure that staffing is adequate to deliver a pre-agreed menu to a high standard.
5. Train and develop the new colleagues and existing team members ensuring that they work in line with Delamere values.
6. Coach the catering team on good behaviors and working practices in the kitchen and when interacting with guests and colleagues.
7. Ensure that all catering team mandatory training is up to date.
8. Contribute to menu development and refinement in collaboration with the head chef - present special menus and themed night ideas for review.
9. Ensure that all legislation and compliance are maintained to the highest standard.
10. Ensure that standards of hygiene and cleanliness are upheld at all times.
11. Work with the head chef to refine processes and systems within the catering department to increase productivity and reduce workload.
12. Supporting the head chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen, running the kitchen and the catering operation in the absence of the head chef, and ensuring Delamere's high standards are met and upheld at all times.
