About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Training Manager to join the team at Maria Mallaband Care Group. Leading a team of internal trainers to ensure that there is an effective offer of L&D that suits the business needs and resident population, supporting colleagues to deliver care and clinical excellence.
This is a National role that will require travel to sites across the business. Reporting to our Group Head of Learning & Organisational Development you’ll work collaboratively with functions across the business to support in the creation, delivery and evaluation of effective L&D programmes.
The role will be required to work some weekends and evenings to ensure all colleagues have appropriate access to learning outside of usual Monday to Friday business hours.
Responsibilities
1. Lead on the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of training programmes for the organisation, both non-clinical and clinical.
2. Collaborate with stakeholder to identify training needs and develop curricula that address those needs, including various mediums of learning.
3. Ensure training materials are up to date with current clinical practices and regulatory requirements across the UK, including Scotland, staying informed about changes in clinical practices and regulatory changes.
4. Design a learning offer of clinical, care and mandatory training including full sessions, refreshers and competency assessments.
5. Lead on the creation of induction tools, preceptorship, had-hoc learning materials, booklets and resources to support care and clinical excellence.
6. Utilise various instructional methods including hands-on training, eLearning, simulations and webinar delivery.
7. Lead and mentor trainers, including clinical supervision, group supervisions and reflective practices.
About You
8. 5 Years experience of leading a training team in health and social care
9. Preferably a PIN Registered Nurse
10. Professional training qualification
11. Experience of leading a team of 5 plus direct reports
12. Good knowledge of regulatory requirements for England, Scotland and Jersey
13. Good operational knowledge of residential care services, including the role of registered managers
14. Experienced in audits and improvement plans
