The role
We’re looking for a Junior Learning Designer to join our Education department as part of our English team.
As a Junior Learning Designer, you’ll craft engaging content that sparks a love for reading, wordplay and even grammar in children! This role focuses on creating excellent English and Verbal Reasoning materials that help children develop confidence and joy from learning and playing with words. It’s an opportunity to enable learning at scale and develop the wordsmiths of the future.
What you will do
* Work within a team of language and literature teachers to give students an exceptional experience in online learning, assessment and exam preparation.
* Create educational resources for verbal reasoning, SPAG and reading comprehension to motivate and challenge the most avid 11+ learners.
* Quality assure your colleagues’ learning and assessment content against guidelines for excellence.
* Master a range of authoring and content management tools so our students have a quality and highly-personalised learning experience.
Who you are
* Excellent written English, with a strong knowledge of language, grammar and wordplay.
* Creative and detail-oriented, capable of crafting engaging, high-quality learning content that’s both fun and educational.
* Emotionally intelligent, with the ability to give and receive feedback candidly while maintaining a collaborative and supportive approach.
* A natural communicator, skilled at adapting complex ideas into clear, accessible materials for young learners.
* Curious and growth-focused, eager to learn and contribute to a mission-driven team shaping the future of education.
Experience that will set you apart
* Experience in tutoring, mentoring, or creating English and Verbal Reasoning content for children, showcasing your ability to engage and inspire them.
* A knack for creative writing or storytelling that makes learning feel like an adventure for young minds.
* A demonstrated passion for education and literacy, whether through personal projects, volunteering, or academic achievement.
