Job title: Lead Data Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within Corporate Technology
As a core technical contributor, you will be responsible for maintaining critical data pipelines and architectures across multiple technical areas within various business functions to support the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
1. Generate data models using firmwide tooling, statistics, and algorithms.
2. Develop data extraction and transformation pipelines in collaboration with other Data Engineers and stakeholders.
3. Deliver data collection, storage, access, and analytics solutions in a secure, stable, and scalable manner.
4. Understand key data requirements by working closely with stakeholders.
5. Design and implement secure and effective data solutions with appropriate access control.
6. Create data visualization solutions focusing on User Experience.
7. Contribute to a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
1. Formal training or certification in Data Engineering concepts with advanced proficiency.
2. Self-motivated and capable of managing deliverables independently.
3. Experience across the entire data lifecycle.
4. Expertise in SQL, including joins and aggregations.
5. Understanding of Cloud platforms such as AWS.
6. Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to develop clear business requirements.
7. Experience with Big Data technologies, Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, Lakehouses.
8. Proficiency in Databricks and Python, including concurrency and error handling.
9. Experience with ETL tools and data visualization tools.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
1. Experience with AWS services like Lambdas and Terraform.
2. Knowledge of Java and front-end development.
3. Skills in User Experience design.
4. Experience with Snowflake and data modeling.
5. Experience working in large-scale, global, highly regulated environments.
