We're looking for an experienced Head Chef to join our team at Mt Hutt.
About the Role
The Head Chef will be responsible for managing all kitchen operations, including food preparation, customer service, and staff training.
They will also oversee financial components of the kitchen, such as labour budgets and food cost margins.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage daily kitchen production and assign tasks to kitchen staff.
2. Train and develop kitchen staff in food preparation, customer service, and kitchen safety.
3. Oversee financial components of the kitchen, including labour budgets and food cost margins.
4. Lead and motivate a diverse team of kitchen staff.
5. Maintain highest professional food quality and kitchen sanitation standards.
Requirements
1. National Certificate in Cookery Level 3-4 or equivalent.
2. At least 3 years kitchen supervisory or management experience.
3. Experience in high-volume, multi-outlet catering environments.
4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
5. Ability to motivate and inspire a team in a diverse environment.
