ABC Teachers are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Drama Teacher to join our dynamic teaching team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality drama lessons, fostering a love for the performing arts, and contributing to the school’s vibrant cultural life. Key Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and creative drama lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5. Develop and implement a diverse and challenging drama curriculum that includes both practical and theoretical aspects of the subject. Direct and produce school productions, plays, and other performances, involving students in all aspects of theatre production. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their artistic and academic development. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity, collaboration, and confidence. Collaborate with colleagues across the performing arts department and other subjects to enhance students' learning experiences. Participate in and contribute to the wider school community, including organizing and supporting extracurricular activities related to drama and the performing arts. Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with the latest trends and practices in drama education. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. A degree in Drama, Theatre Studies, Performing Arts, or a related field. Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching drama. Experience teaching drama at the secondary level, including KS4 and KS5. Excellent communication and classroom management skills. Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities. Desirable: Experience in directing or producing school plays and performances. Familiarity with modern educational technology and its application in drama teaching.
