Manpower Recruitment are looking for multiple Head Chefs to join an expanding kitchen environment in Oxford City Centre.

The role is full time, working up to 45 hrs per week, 5/7 days and working only 1 in 4 weekends.
**Please not an enhanced DBS will be needed to be obtained before a successful start, due to the environment.
Shifts will be either 7.30am-3.30pm or 10.30am-7pm on a rotational basis. The role is paying up to £37500pa depending on experience.

As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and serving the kind of food that truly brightens our clients' and customers' days, with a team of individuals to oversee, delegate and manage expectations in a busy environment. Responsibilities
* Control and direct the food preparation process and any other relative activities
* Construct menus with new or existing culinary creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servings
* Approve and “polish” dishes before they reach the customer
* Plan orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified shortages
* Arrange for repairs when necessary
* Remedy any problems or defects
* Be fully in charge of hiring, managing, and training kitchen staff
* Oversee the work of subordinates
* Estimate staff’s workload and compensations
* Maintain records of payroll and attendance
* Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
* Foster a climate of cooperation and respect between co-workers
Requirements and skills
* Proven experience as Head Chef
* Exceptional proven ability of kitchen management
* Ability in dividing responsibilities and monitoring progress
* Outstanding communication and leadership skills
* Up to date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes
* Good understanding of useful computer programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
* Credentials in health and safety training
* Degree in Culinary science or related certificate
