The opportunity:
We are VML Enterprise Solutions - a group of talented engineers, tech experts, and creators who combine our passions and contribute to the IT world. You may know us better as Wunderman Thompson Technology – in 2024 we changed our name, but at the same time, we remained a great team of people who deliver our best. We design, build, manage and run complex technology platforms and help our clients to benefit from our work and creativity.
Leveraging your expertise in TypeScript, Playwright, and Cucumber, you'll design and implement cutting-edge automated tests, embracing a BDD approach to ensure the quality and reliability of our applications. This role offers the chance to work across the full testing spectrum, from UI and API testing to database validation, all within a fast-paced Agile environment. If you thrive in a collaborative setting, enjoy solving complex challenges, and possess a strong automation-first mindset, we encourage you to apply and contribute to a high-performing team dedicated to delivering exceptional online experiences.

You will be developing and maintaining Automated Tests: using TypeScript, Playwright, and Cucumber, following the BDD approach. You will be heavily involved in UI, API and DB testing.
In essence, you will be a key player in ensuring the quality and stability of the eCommerce platform by building and maintaining a comprehensive suite of automated tests and actively participating in the software development lifecycle. Your "automation first" mindset and experience with various testing techniques will be crucial for delivering high-quality software in a fast-paced environment.
What we want from you:

* Hands-on experience with UNIX commands and log verifications
* Experience testing RESTful services using Playwright or similar frameworks
* Automation first approach mindset, ability to identify data requirements and implement tests to achieve coverage
* Experience in testing automation within a continuous integration environment
* Familiarity with source code control systems like GitHub, BitBucket, or similar, including conducting code reviews
* Collaboration in daily stand-ups and close collaboration with team developers
* Utilisation of feedback from all stakeholders to expand test scenarios
* Demonstrated ability to adapt and reprioritise in a fast-paced team environment
* Effective interpersonal skills and proven ability to collaborate with all stakeholders
* Attention to detail and highly organised
If you know some of this, even better:
* Experience of IBM WebSphere Commerce, Magento, Hybris or other eCommerce platforms
* Experience of using Jira, Rally or Azure tools
* Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions or Azure pipelines
