RSM UK are seeking an accomplished Senior Data Engineer to play a lead role in the development and optimisation of cutting-edge data-centric solutions that will drive innovation and enhance decision-making across RSM UK. The pace of innovation within RSM is increasing all the time and this has created the need for additional skills within the firm in relation to analytics and data-centric development. You will play a pivotal role in unlocking value from business and client data to support descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analysis. You will be working collaboratively with key service line stakeholders to deliver and maintain robust solutions that address evolving business requirements in a highly regulated industry.
You’ll make an impact by:
* Partnering with data analysts to continuously refine data accessibility and performance, proactively identifying and communicating data trends to inform business strategies while adhering to strict data governance practices.
* Developing, constructing, testing, and maintaining robust data architectures that align with evolving business requirements and industry best practices, with a strong focus on risk mitigation and data security.
* Creating automated solutions that prioritise scalability and rapid deployment, leveraging your experience with tools like Azure (preferred) and CI/CD pipelines (desirable), while ensuring maintainability and ease of use for a growing team.
* Sharing your deep expertise and industry knowledge to mentor and guide a growing team of data engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
* Demonstrating exceptional problem-solving skills by translating complex business challenges into actionable and scalable data solutions, drawing upon your extensive experience in the financial sector (preferable).
* Facilitating successful collaboration with both business and technical stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the development lifecycle, while managing expectations and navigating regulatory constraints.
What we are looking for:

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven track record of delivering complex, data-centric projects showcasing a deep understanding of regulatory requirements and best practices.
* Expert proficiency in Python, Spark or R, with the ability to tackle intricate business problems through data analysis and manipulation in a highly regulated setting.
* Strong understanding of T-SQL or similar languages for query development, view creation, and stored procedure development, with a meticulous focus on data integrity and security.
* Demonstrated experience in data integration, pipeline development, and data warehousing design, tailored to the unique challenges of the financial sector (preferred).
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, including senior management and regulatory bodies.
