Position: Head chef

Salary: £40k per annum plus Bonus and tronc scheme
Shift 5/7 days with weekend work
A reputable chain of pubs, with a decade-long presence in Hampshire, seeks a Head Chef with a flair for fresh, tapas-style cuisine. This role is not just about culinary skills but also leadership, as the successful candidate will guide a dedicated team of eight. The ideal chef will share the client's passion for quality and have a talent for crafting dishes from raw ingredients, while also possessing the ability to mentor and inspire their team.
Head Chef Responsibilities:
*Plan, organize and direct the preparation and cooking of food ensuring that the company's reputation for quality is enhanced
*Preparing high quality food for our guests quickly and efficiently
*Maintaining food hygiene and safety standards
*Responsibility for ordering and stock controls, reduction of waste
*Overseeing day to day kitchen operations in a proactive and hands-on way
*Leading and mentoring the team
*Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
*Follow allergen laws and respect for dietary requirements
*creating rotas and cleaning schedules for kitchen staff
What you will bring:
*Excellent Culinary and presentation skills
*Minimum 1 years' experience in a similar role and establishment
*Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills
*Passion to do a great job
*Manage staff in a calm, inspirational manner
*Manage stock with minimal wastage
*Understanding of profit margins and food stock controls.
